Friends of NAWBO, a 501c3 organization was formed in 2009. The purpose of the organization is to support and inspire women entrepreneurs with scholarships and grants that enable them to further their education, leadership skills and opportunities to succeed.
 
The concept of a non profit to support women entrepreneurs began close to five years ago within the NAWBO Tucson chapter. Over the years, board members and Past Presidents met and discussed the purpose and vision for such an organization. In June of 2009, the board selected a small group of NAWBO members to move forward with the concept.
 
Our founding board accomplished the creation of our organization over a six month period. A 501c3 organization was formed with the support of the NAWBO Tucson chapter and many NAWBO members.
